Responsibilities

Caregivers perform tasks including meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, transportation for shopping and medical appointments, fall prevention supervision, companionship and respite care for family caregivers.

Home Health Aides will perform all the tasks of caregivers and additional tasks providing assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, showering, personal hygiene, incontinence care, dressing, grooming, and transferring clients to and from beds, chairs or vehicles.

Requirements

  • Home Health Aides should have at least 1 year of caregiver experience
  • Caregivers should have some experience, but we will train motivated applicants
  • All applicants must pass a criminal background check and a drug screen
  • All applicants must complete on-line CPR/First Aid Training within 30 days of hire
  • Must have reliable transportation, insurance and a smartphone (iOS or Android)
  • Basic homemaking skills including light housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and Holidays
  • Must enjoy interacting with senior citizens, veterans and disabled individuals
  • Comply with accepted professional standards and CareForce's business practices
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Be creative, flexible and have fun in a close-knit, casual work environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

During the course of employment, Caregivers and Home Health Aides must be able to:

  • Move independently from office or home to car several times a day and be able to ascend/descend stairs
  • Be able to transfer clients to and from beds, chairs or vehicles
